Much like other branded products, PSC Pro WP BAND waterproofing seam strips are used to seal membrane joints from piece to piece and in corners of walls, floors and ceilings. Pre-cut and pre-shaped sections of PSC Pro WP are also available for inside and outside corners.

Modified thin-set mortar
Unlike some competing products, PSC Pro WP can be installed with your favorite name-brand modified thin-set mortar from contractor or general-purpose grade up to super-strength and large-format-tile formulations (cannot use pre-mix in bucket products.) This flexibility allows installation of virtually any material and offers full compatibility with other brands and types of waterproofing (e.g. liquid membranes.)

Sealing of walls
PSC Pro WP is used as a sealing layer for tiled walls. PSC Pro WP adheres firmly to a foundation with simple modified thin-set mortar and is easy to work with.

Sealing in regions subject to large quantities of moisture
Wherever moisture is present in greater amounts than is normal like showers, steam showers and tub surrounds, PSC Pro WP provides outstanding sealing properties at the junction of walls and floors with a tiled covering.

Creating tiled surfaces that are resistant to acid
When used with epoxy-resin adhesive and suitable tiles PSC Pro WP can even be used to make floor surfaces that are resistant to acids, as specified for floors in the food industry, for example.

Use as a sealing strip
PSC Pro WP can also be used as a sealing strip for junctions where Prova Flex, Durabase CI++, other sections of Pro WP or virtually any other waterproofing or anti-crack membranes are being used. Other applications include the sealing of junctions between walls and floors. Outside of the shower or bath install, PSC Pro WP is commonly used to seal the seams between adjacent sections of floor anti-crack membranes to ensure that the floor itself is completely waterproof.

even at the most challenging points.
